A Program for Leaders

Vanguard’s Master of Arts in Leadership Studies (MALS) is designed for those who want to increase their effectiveness as leaders in churches, nonprofits, and a variety of organizational settings while deepening their self-understanding and Christian faith.  Students benefit not only from an enriching course content, but also from an authentic  community that is cultivated throughout the program.

This narrowly focused academic degree provides strong preparatory work for students wishing to pursue a doctoral degree in a related area.

Cost & Financial Aid

The current cost per unit is $450.  At that rate, tuition for each course costs $1,350 and the program tuition cost is $17,550. The cost for textbooks varies from class to class. Seventy-two percent of graduate students at Vanguard receive financial aid.

Admission

Vanguard admits students to the MA in Leadership Studies in Fall (August), Spring (January) and Summer (May). Students may apply for admission via paper or online application.
